CoinPlay ("we", "us", "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile and web application.
By using CoinPlay, you consent to the data practices described in this policy.

We collect the following information when you use CoinPlay:
Account Information:
• Email address (used for login and account management)
• Display name or username
• Profile avatar (emoji selected in-app)
• Account creation date
App Usage Data:
• Simulated portfolio holdings and transaction history
• Learning progress (completed courses and lessons)
• Virtual balance and claim history
• App preferences (currency, notification settings)
If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google display name and email address as provided by Google.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
• Create and manage your CoinPlay account
• Provide and improve the simulated trading experience
• Track your learning progress across sessions and devices
• Send notifications you have opted into (e.g. claim reminders, market recaps)
• Respond to support requests
• Detect and prevent fraud or abuse
We do not use your information to make real financial decisions or for credit/risk assessment.
3. Data Storage and Third-Party Services
Your data is stored and processed using Google Firebase services:
• Firebase Authentication: manages your login credentials
• Cloud Firestore: stores your portfolio, progress, and preferences
• Firebase Cloud Messaging: delivers push notifications
Google's privacy policy governs how Firebase handles your data. We encourage you to review it at policies.google.com/privacy.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
4. Information Sharing
We do not share your personal information with third parties except:
• As required by law or valid legal process
• To protect the rights, safety, or property of CoinPlay or its users
• In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets (you would be notified)
We do not share your data for advertising purposes.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including:
• Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS)
• Firebase security rules restricting access to your own data
• Secure authentication via Firebase Auth and Google OAuth
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your personal information from our active databases within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
• Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
• Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data
• Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data

CoinPlay is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13 without parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
Parents or guardians who believe their child has provided us with personal information should contact us immediately.
9. Push Notifications
If you enable push notifications, we may send you:
• Reminders to claim your virtual balance
• Learning progress reminders
• Simulated market movement summaries
• Portfolio milestone alerts
You can disable notifications at any time through your device settings or within the App under Settings → Notifications.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this policy. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
